After we get to the understanding that I'm picking up something online and I give her my name after prompted by "name.".
I let her know that it's stuffed animal eyes. [My son's first stuffed animal had a tussle with the dog, luckily he came out unscathed except for sacrificing an eye for the knowledge of knowing not toess with an adolescent puppy.]. She responds with a snide "Animal eyes? .... Okay you". Then very loudly over her radio and for the entirety of the checking lanes to hear she says to the girl that's supposed to be helping me "I guess he's saying it's animal eyes?", Like I'm a complete moron and I have no idea what I ordered hours ago.
I placed an order online, waited for the pick up is ready email. Showed up and waited at the customer service counter for probably 5 minutes until I noticed a tiny sign flat on the counter that refunds are to be processed at the registers. There is NO notice of where online pick up is processed anywhere so I assume that I need to head to the register.
About that same time some guy comes up and places the order on the counter.
She can't find it in the front, she lets me know that "I guess I'll have to go back to the warehouse for your order"
The only time I've been here in the past 5 years and hopefully the last time for at least another 5 years.
5 minutes or so later the checker next to her asks "sir she can't find it do you know what it was?"
Those two employees have let me know that if you're not 55+ and female you should just use amazon and spare them of your moronic presence. If it weren't for my son having waited a week already I'd return them for the less than $3 and be done with this place.
I went for 10 yards of burlap. They had a lot of colors to pick from. The bolt looked full that I picked but turned out to be three separate pieces. No big deal to me. I got what I needed and they charged it as one cut so I could still use the 50% off coupon. Good deal for an easy Christmas craft.
Mann's has a large variety of sewing and crafting needs. The store is always neat and the personnel is always helpful.
Stopped look at singer embroidery machine and was amazed by the Viking machines and the quality of the machine and the capability and ease of use. The representative that's their works directly for the company that makes the Singer sewing machines and was able to answer a large number of questions about embroidery machines and the Viking machines were by far the best.
After waiting in line for 10 minutes (not necessarily their fault, they were mildly busy) I'm helped by a condecending young lady that just has the attitude that everything I'm saying is wrong and stupid.
They need benches to sit on while waiting to have fabric cut! It was about a hundred degrees in there and with 50 women standing there a few benches for the older ladies would be nice!
