Love this library. It is a real treasure with ample work space and wonderful resources. I have found the staff to be most cooperative.
I wish they had more than one printer. They have like 15 computers and one printer. I remember waiting almost half an hour just to print one page off because some woman was printing off like 50 pages of something. The printer won't print everything off all at once of course, because you have to pay for each individual sheet of paper, so it was pretty painful to wait.
All in all, it's a nice little place that's close to my home and my kids enjoy coming here. I visit this place quite often and normally leave in a good mood.
Genealogy Branch in Indep has a rude manager. My daughter asked Cheryl L for help. She said she was on brake. 20 min later my daughter asked for assistance. Again Cheryl said she was on her morning break. We stayed for over two hours and know one came to us after two request. We left and Cheryl was on her cell phone at the same desk that she never left just talking at normal levels. I later called and asked for the manager and who picked up? Cheryl... I told her of the actions of the employee only to say that she was the one and now her story changed and she was off the clock behind the desk. I started to ask her if she is working now and she hung up on me. RUDE, tax dollars at work. Wish I could reduce my tax just the amount we are wasting on Cheryl
Staff is helpful but with a hint of rudeness. I always go when they first open...perhaps they just haven't had their coffee yet.
I agree with another reviewer, this place does tend to be pretty loud for a library. Whenever I take my kids here with me, I stress to them how important it is to whisper and be quiet when you're in a library, and then they see and hear the librarians and patron's/patron's children being noisy as hell! Then my kids will (loudly) ask me, "Well how come those people aren't whispering?" LOL
Rude staff disrespectful kids with no parents watching them get this place together so people can enjoy the peace and quiet like there supposed to at a library
