Awesome place for the family! Picture and sound were great. Lots of space. My only complaint is how long it takes to get the food
Unfortunately, this drive in is limited to a few rows on each side of the screens. If you want to get closer, to have a closer view of the movie. If you have a newer car with an LCD radio and navigation system. You're going to have to turn in your driver's license for a portable radio tuner at the main building. I encourage people with newer cars to take an external FM radio, because your car would probably turn off by itself after a few minutes. Most of the speakers in the back roads to not work as well. We left, because of the inconveniences.
O.K. this is very important information to know if you haven't been to the Drive in for awhile. We wanted to take our granddaughters before there are none left. Take lawn chairs, an AM/FM radio, drinks and treats. Back into your spot and open the hatch of your SUV and enjoy. Watching those around us we could tell others were well educated in the art of The Drive In. Wonderful entertainment for a reasonable price.
Always a classic place to take your friends or family. Be prepared to start your vehicle during the movie a few times to make sure your battery doesn't die because you will need to use your car radio. They still have the speakers set up so watch for them while driving in but they are no longer functional.
I used to come here as a kid (first movie I remember seeing there was Disney's Aladdin) pretty much every other week. We'd have chairs and blankets in the bed of my daddy's truck and the atmosphere was always so relaxing. I've now started that same tradition with my own children and they get so excited when we tell them we're going there. There's been a few updates over the years but, I love that it's a part of my childhood that has stayed nearly the same and it's still just as amazing as I remember! Family night at it's best! Keep up the good work!!
