They have a great selection and very reasonable prices. Some books are marked with a set price. Others are half the publishers retail price. The books are almost always in really good condition. They even have other types of items like games and records. It's a cool place and I definitely recommend it.
I goto 4 Halfprice bookstores in the Kansas city metro. The prices are very fair. If you get on there email they have many coupons and sales. They also have the same great deals on there website.
I bring in books I'm done with, I get store credit (or cash, but I always go with credit), I find new books on the cheap, I use the store credit to buy the new books. I walk out with books. Sometimes records too, but always books. I love this place! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable too.

This is probably the best book store in independence. The prices are great and they have a very good selection. I really enjoy classics and they always have plenty of those. Plus the store is super organized and easy to find whatever you're looking for.
