I love this place ! Associates are always very helpful. I was looking for several specific pieces for a porch swing my Dad and I are refurbishing. Frank helped me quickly find everything I needed.
We entered this Home Depot location off of Lee Summit Road in Independence. We went to the lumber area got assistance by a couple of gentlemen that we needed to get some would cut. I assisted get the 6 sheets of plywood onto the cart with the employee. We took it back to the cutting area and he was called off to go load a customer's car. We were waiting several minutes before someone was able to get there and we still couldn't find someone that could cut world that was allowed to cut. Then the one associate that was in a hurry to go help the customer load said he would be right back and a gentleman by the name of John helped us with the cuts we need it. The first associate said he'd be back in 5 minutes and as we saw him come back by even though he knew that John had a project to do he kept going and did not come back to fulfill the cuts we needed. I'm giving 2 stars only for the effort of 1st associate. Appreciation and 5 stars go to the associate by the name of John that did the help for cutting the wood to size we needed. Very disappointed that we had to wait so long but it was good knowing that we had someone that was taking care of our needs as a customer. Again, thank you John!
Just like all the others....handy, plethora of items. continually phasing out the inexpensive for higher profit brands, semi-knowledgeable staff, easy checkouts. Can't say anything truly positive or negative about this location.
Centrally located off of I-70. Very helpful staff, items easy to find and prices clearly marked. Definite go to for someone purchasing or remodeling a home!
I love that this place is so close to home but the customer service is horrid. We actually called the store to ask them to send someone over to doors for assistance. They never announced overhead and we waited another 10 minutes and no one helped. When we walked the isles we witnessed two different groups of 3 or more employees just standing around doing nothing. No customers were around them, they were just hanging out.
