THEY ARE INFESTED WITH BED BUGS!!! THE FAIRFIELD INN IN INDEPENDENCE MISSOURI IS LITERALLY INFESTED, SO MUCH SO THAT I MANAGED TO BRING A FEW HOME WITH ME AND NOW I'M STRUGGLING TO ERADICATE THEM FROM MY HOUSE. IT'S BEEN A NIGHTMARE! I DON'T ADVISE STEPPING FOOT IN THAT BUILDING LET ALONE STAY A NIGHT. It's seriously like a disease. The bugs are definitely a problem regardless if an employee or guest, be aware that bed bugs don't discriminate. Retaliating? ..by telling the public the truth, I guess they want it kept secret.. IDK. Just be vigilant if you dare step foot in that establishment. Also while I'm being honest the rooms on the first floor were previously flooded, so they have a lingering odor of damp, moldy, stagnant funk. The managers minus Mark are quite unprofessional, they practice age discrimination, and favoritism. They basically get paid to smoke cigarettes. I as a former employee working there it felt like high school, supposed "management" talking about shortcomings of others behind their backs and I wouldn't advise applying there, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy to rent a room there. I'm extremely disappointed. I wish I could upload a few pictures of the bed bugs I found in room 201. If I was looking for a place to stay I'd want to know what I'm sleeping around and what I could potentially bring home with me...
Clean room, decent breakfast, good location
So far it has been very pleasant. Nice quiet room. Really nice breakfast. They are under renevation but doesn't seem to be noisy ( at least at night). Staff has bent over backwards to accommodate us.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean. Their breakfast was really good. Their located near lots of eating places and shopping. I would recommend them.
The maid service was mediocre and it looked as though the bathroom may have had mold in the shower. Also no gym in a hotel nowadays is kind of ridiculous.
