After driving all day it was nice to have a place to crash that was clean and folks friendly. When looking at the website didn't realize there was no elevator to get to the 2nd floor. When checking in I mentioned we needed a ground floor as stairs can be rough on my husband. The night clerk didn't bat and eye and arranged for it to happen. There was also a nice place for our dogs to walk around and it was clean. I really like that all the Red Roof Inn's we have stayed at provide bags and easy place to make deposits of wastes.
Better than expected. The room was clean, the customer service was good. It was nice and quiet. The BBQ place isn't open anymore, but there's plenty to eat near by. You can tell it has been recently updated.
In all not a great experience. But it was fairly cheap.
The place is old, dingy, and pretty dirty. We found a pair of underwear hanging from the shower when we arrived in the room. The bed had hairs on the sheets that clearly weren't ours. The floor had places that hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. The door to the room wouldn't latch unless you slammed the door. Breakfast consisted of kolaches, cereal, and waffles that you make yourself.
The staff was wonderful... I was in KC for my son's funeral and the staff knew that, my brother booked the room since I was coming to town per train. When I got to register for my room the staff gave me condolences right off the bat. It made me fill welcome and that someone cared. The room was very clean and smelled wonderful... The morning breakfast was nice too. When I went to my son's funeral as I was leaving, the front desk lady was kind enough to ask me if I would like some pocket tissues... I said yes please. It was very kind of her to do that for me. When I returned my room had been cleaned. I will definitely stay here again....
People are nice but the rooms are run down and dirty. Found hair on the pillows, tub was dirty, sink was about to fall off the wall and it was clogged the whole time. We told the front desk and they were nice and said they would take care of it but never did. Toilet leaked when flushed.
