Our experience was a good one at the time and the owners were very nice. They have indoor/outdoor cats which aren't allowed in the bedrooms but will sneak in anyways. Later that week we started getting flea bites which was the beginning of a multi week process and several hundred dollars of chemicals and flea infested items we had to throw away.
Lovely hosts provided delicious breakfasts each day of our 3-night stay. The Beach Cottage was well appointed with luxurious bedding, comfy living room seating and a well-stocked kitchenette. It was the perfect venue for reuniting with friends. The hosts recommended several delicious restaurants in the quaint historic downtown area just minutes away. We want to come back in the spring or summer to enjoy the lovely grounds -- but even on a snowy weekend, we enjoyed the little fireplace and cozy accommodations. We recommend it highly!
I hosted a baby shower here for my best friend. The staff was eager to help and very polite. Everything was very clean and looked beautiful. We brought in our own food, but they do have an option to have it provided for you. Everything was elegant, and I hope to be back to attend one of their murder mystery dinners soon! Celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary along with my brother and his wife who were celebrating their 3rd anniversary. First night didn't go to well, there were several power outages with the last one lasting for 4hrs during the night
Besides that, it was wonderful. Room came with a Roku with Netflix already logged in if you wanted to watch a movie, extensive DVD collection to choose from. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend.
Overall great experience. I have to deduct a star for the bed we slept in, as me and my wife kinda sank toward the middle. Maybe the mattress is getting a bit worn.
